Here's some of the questions people have about attending Calvary
Temple for the first time. If you need to talk to someone, be sure
to use our Contact page and reach us by email
or phone.
What can I expect at a Sunday worship service?
We always try to make our services uplifting and encouraging for
those who attend. The music is contemporary and we encourage you
to clap your hands, move your feet and enjoy the worship. We endeavor to
make the sermons practical and challenging each week. In order to
keep the worship experience engaging, we use things like multimedia and
illustrated messages. The bulletin has the outline and scriptures
for the sermon so that you can keep up with it and refer back to it
later. Feel free to check out one of our sermons
online before you visit.
Will I get singled out as a guest?
What? You don't like being the center of attention? All we ask
is that you enjoy the service. We stopped making guests give
speeches a long time ago.
What should I wear?
We have a strict dress code - we insist that you dress
comfortably. Our folks wear anything from jeans and t-shirts to
suits and ties. At Calvary Temple, we care about you, not
your style of clothing.
What do you have for my children?
Each Sunday morning we have a nursery and Kid's Church. We
provide the nursery service so that you can focus on worship instead of
childcare. The Kid's Church provides an opportunity for children
to worship in their own way and learn in a way that fits them
better. There are a few special occasions when we will have the
children in the service with their parents, but the nursery is always
available.
I want to grow deeper in my faith, what do you have for me?
Each week our church offers opportunities for deeper
discipleship. We have a Bible Study each Sunday morning at 9:30
am. There is also a Bible Study on Wednesday nights at 7 pm.
You may also want to get involved in a small group or some other
ministry. When you visit, be sure to check our bulletin to see
what's being offered that week.
